Crank & Cam Sensors

Electromotive offers a selection of custom magnetic and Hall effect crank and cam sensors for use with our systems.

  • 1/2″ Magnetic Crank Sensor

1/2” magnetic crank sensor for use with all Electromotive systems. Can be used with trigger wheels 3” or larger. Should not be used as a cam trigger. ***Electromotive’s standard Magnetic Sensor can fail over time and use. The easiest test to determine the sensors status is a resistance test between the signal (white or red) […]

  • 3/8″ Chisel Point Magnetic Sensor

3/8″ chisel point magnetic sensor for use with all Electromotive systems. The 3/8″ chisel point sensor features a fine chisel point exposed sensor element for use with small-diameter, fine-pitch trigger wheels. It should be used with 60-2 trigger wheels under 3″ and all camshaft speed wheels. It can also be used to replace early flat […]

  • 1/2″ Hall Effect Crank Sensor

1/2″ diameter smooth bore Hall effect crank sensor. This sensor is directly interchangeable with the standard 1/2″ magnetic crank sensor. This sensor can be used on any Hall effect-compatible Electromotive systems and will work on trigger wheels 3″ or larger. Hall effect crank sensors can often be used to address noise related starting/running issues, as […]

  • Hall Effect Cam Trigger w/ Pull-Up Resistor

Threaded body Hall effect cam sensor. For use with custom cam trigger setups; includes pre-installed pull-up resistor.

  • Universal Cam Trigger Kit

Universal cam trigger kit allows the addition of a cam reference on engines not equipped with one. A cam reference is necessary if sequential injection firing is desired. The kit includes 2.5″ mild steel cam trigger wheel with 10mm I.D. and threaded body Hall effect cam sensor.

  • Crank Trigger Simulator

The Crank Trigger Simulator creates a variable RPM Signal in a 60-2 pattern. Allows for running Electromotive TEC and XDi systems without the engine running. This is beneficial for calibrating the XDi’s manual potentiometers, as well as general system testing on any unit. Also provides a cam pulse for testing sequential injection functionality on TEC […]

  • Y Cable Assembly

Y cable assembly allows for a single-crank sensor’s signal to be split to two systems. This is commonly used on legacy systems such as the HPV and HPX when used in a dual-plug configuration. It is used in conjunction with the 3/8″ or 1/2″ sensors to replace early Y cable sensors.

  • GM 2-Wire Crank Sensor Adapter

Cable for adapting 3-position Weather Pack crank sensor plug to the 2-wire GM Ecotec block-mounted crank sensor. For use only with GM engines running 58-tooth trigger wheels. *Note: GM engines do not use the 11th tooth for TDC reference. Always verify tooth location at TDC and compensate in your timing tables/knobs.
